Any faculty member who is actively engaged in teaching medical students or has a significant impact on pre-doctoral education is eligible to apply for membership in the Academy. The majority of our members are primarily educators of medical students. However, we welcome applications from exceptional residency/fellowship level teachers who can demonstrate that their work with residents and fellows benefits UCSF medical students directly or indirectly. Please contact the Membership working group chair, Colin Partridge (cpartridge@sfghpeds.ucsf.edu) if you feel you do not meet, or have difficulty articulating, the UME linkage requirement in your Educator's Portfolio.

Academic rank and degree requirements: there is no academic rank or degree requirement for application to the Academy; the focus is on outstanding accomplishment.
