
The goal of the PCQM is to assist in the Professional Development of
the Program Coordinator. The quarterly meetings are designed to produce
a library of topics, communicate with programs effectively, and to have
continued compliance with all local, state, federal and accrediting body
regulations as well as to contribute to the efficiency and reliability
of the Program Coordinator.

About
the Speaker:
Ruth H. Nawotniak, MS, C-TAGME,
is co-founder and first president of the National Board for Certification
of Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME).
She spearheaded the creation of TAGME to establish standards for
the profession, to acknowledge the expertise needed to successfully
manage graduate medical education programs (GME), and to recognize
those training program administrators who have achieved competence
in all fields related to their profession. She also serves as
the residency program coordinator for the general surgery residency
program at the University of Buffalo-State University of new York
at Buffalo. In addition to developing and facilitating coordinator
workshops at the University of Buffalo and working with program
development for TAGME, she has presented at teaching hospitals
and academic centers across the country on the topics of professionalism,
coordinator certification, and GME oversight. She also holds a
master's degree in English education.
