 Working
Together
Desktop and server support, as well as email charges, depend largely on
the size of the department or unit, state of existing computers, and any
additional data storage requirements. Since these factors make it difficult
to give a range of typical charges, please contact
us to obtain an estimate that is in line with your specific needs.
Software application development efforts depend on the complexity of the
project. Simple applications typically serve 1-5 end-users; have few functions,
screens, and reports; require a single security profile; incorporate stand-alone
databases with simple data relationships; support an ancillary business
function; and require basic user interface designs. Simple applications
typically require 1 – 4 months to complete. More complex applications
typically serve a critical business function and serve wide audiences;
include complex functions/algorithms, highly interactive screens, and
online reporting features; require multiple levels of role-based security;
include a database initialized and/or dynamically fed from an existing
data sources; include complex data relationships; and require significant
user interface design. Complex applications can range from 6 – 18
months to complete. Please contact us to
discuss your application needs and obtain an estimate.
Most web sites are relatively small. Typically requiring 40 - 80 hours of web design
and production. Additional charges arise when sites require interactive elements,
such as online forms or registration, or more complex visual elements,
such as Flash content. In most cases, however, additional work does not
exceed 20 hours. If you’d like to discuss a project please contact
us.
ISU will provide a written estimate and scope of work for all projects.
We do not charge for the first two hours of project estimation. If the
estimating process requires more than two hours, ISU will notify the customer
before the work begins and the additional time will be charged at the
Project Management rate.
If project scope changes from the original estimate, ISU will work with
the customer to develop a written change order and estimate for the additional
work. Each month, the customer will receive an electronic invoice via
e-mail. The invoice simply serves as a record of cost and work performed
for the month, not a request for payment. Instead, monthly recharge payments
will be regularly posted each month by our office manager through the
PeopleSoft online financial system.
