Fabry Disease The Digestive Tract

Many people with Fabry disease experience abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, and/or vomiting after eating meals. This is thought to be due to GL-3 accumulation in the nerves and blood vessels around the intestines. A low-fat diet and some prescription medications may help to relieve these symptoms.
