The UCSF Medical Group serves the departments of the UCSF Medical Center by:

• Assisting current and new health care providers and department administration in navigating the complex channels of provider health plan enrollment
• Maintaining efficient working relationships with contracted health plans to ensure timely resolution to provider enrollment issues
• Offering web based prepopulated electronic enrollment forms
• Tracking the enrollment status of each Medical Group Provider
• Automatically updating provider status in the UCSF billing system
• Offering a searchable web query to check on each providers' status for health plan enrollment as well as hospital privileges
