Credentialing with the
Departments of the UCSF Medical Center
There are two steps to being fully credentialed with the departments
of the UCSF Medical Center.
All health care providers who see patients and bill on their own
behalf at UCSF, must be granted Medical Staff Privileges, there
are no exceptions. There are many different types of privileges
for many different types of providers, check out our F.A.Q.'s page to
the right to learn more.
Health
Plan Enrollment
Any healthcare provider who will be billing on their own behalf, must
enroll with all UCSF Medical Group Contracted Healthplans prior to ANY
patient care. Providers who do not undergo this enrollment, risk losing
revenue for their department due to not being an approved provider for
the patients' respective healthplans.
