UCSF School of Medicine Policy on Step 2, Clinical Knowledge (CK) & Clinical Skills (CS) Class of 2007 and beyond All students must take and record a score on Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK) and Clinical Skills (CS) before they graduate.* Students in the Class of 2007 and beyond must take Step 2 CK by December 31 of their fourth year, unless they have explicit permission to extend beyond this deadline from the Associate Dean for Curricular Affairs. The deadline for taking Step 2 Clinical Skills (CS) is April 1 of the graduation year. * Those students extending their education past the spring quarter are permitted to take Step 2 CK & CS by June 1 (summer graduates) and by October 1 for Fall Quarter graduates. The Step 2 policy for the Class of 2007 and beyond was approved by the Committee on Curriculum & Educational Policy on 10/19/05.
