Our MSTP program strives to train individuals who combine the empathy and clinical acumen of the best physicians with the creativity and rigor of outstanding scientists. The overall goal of this training is to improve human health through discovery-based research and inquiry. We seek to instill and nurture the qualities of intellectual curiosity, collegiality, and compassion in our students and we want them to enjoy what they are doing. The program draws upon extraordinary institutional strengths, including breadth in both medicine and science and a friendly and supportive environment that values diversity and emphasizes mentorship.
