• Twice yearly Mentoring Network Dinners with MSTP council and students (all years in each group)
• Advising meetings quarterly in year 1 and 2
• Formal evaluation required from thesis PI at 2.5 and 3.5 years in order to keep students on track for timely graduation
• Meet with thesis committee every 6 months to assess progress
• Transition lunches for students starting graduate school
• Big-sib/little-sib program
• Master lab rotation list and student evaluations of PIs available
• Program director meets with each class
• Weekly MSTP Basic Science Faculty Seminar series includes physician-scientist career development component
• NIH K08 Faculty Mentorship Program: upper-year MSTP trainees receive mentorship from NIH K08 recipients
