Strategic Vision for Educational Technology
To develop a digital curriculum that enhances face-to-face learning, extends teaching and promotes lifelong learning.
We used a graphic facilitation process develop by The Grove Consultants International to develop our strategic vision during a daylong retreat at San Francisco's Presidio. Fourteen participants representing faculty, staff, and students contributed to the vision. After a set of 8 primary vision elements were developed the strategic vision was passed to the Educational Technology Oversight Committee (ETOC) to administer. Over time ETOC will develop specific gameplans to facilitate the implementation of each element of the vision. See photos from the Visioning Retreat.
The Strategic Vision for Educational Technology is composed of a series of graphic maps. Each 4 by 8 foot map was graphically recorded during the retreat by Christina Cicoletti from the Office of Educational Technology. Subsequently, a Gameplan map will be developed for each of the 8 vision elements identified in the Vision. The Maps: History of Educational Technology at UCSF 1995-2004
