How To Post A Job

Replacement positions with no significant changes in duties:

The supervisor or manager requesting the job posting should complete an Employee Requisition Form (ERF) PDF and send it to the OHRS Office at Box 1379. OHRS will review the ERF and forward it to Campus Human Resources for posting.

If you wish to post the job on any non-UCSF sites, contact OHRS to discuss the options that are available.

Positions with significant changes in duties:

Positions with significant changes in duties will require classification review prior to posting the job position. A complete and accurate description of the duties is important, as it is the primary basis for the classification/reclassification decision.

The following information is needed for a complete reclassification request:

  1. A cover memo from the supervisor or manager who is requesting the classification review. Specific reasons should be documented and a summary of the changes in duties and responsibilities from prior classification.

  2. A Staff or MSP/PSS Job Description Form must be completed. The form must be signed by the supervisor and by the manager.

  3. An organizational chart for the unit or division indicating where the position fits within the organization.

  4. A completed Employee Requisition Form (ERF). PDF

The completed request should be sent to the OHRS Office at Box 1379. Once the reclassification review is complete and the new classification has been approved, the job will be posted as outlined in the section above.
