Course Offerings
All course content, with the exception of the independent study series, will be delivered through a combination of in-person seminars and web-based modules. Coursework requirements depend on the level of the learner. The information below is also available as a PDF.
Core Program. The core program offers foundation level coursework with a focus on
- Teaching strategies, supported by use of evidence;
- Use of educational research;
- Understanding of methods of inquiry in learning sciences.
Core Program: Undergraduate Professional Students
- Teaching Strategies and Curriculum Development course (IDS 140.05) during Fall Block 2
- Learning Theory course (flexibly scheduled)
- Assessment course (flexibly scheduled)
- Educational Leadership course (flexibly scheduled)
- Required attendance at a minimum of 3 Works-in-Progress sessions per year
- Required presentations at 2 Works-in-Progress sessions per year

Masters Program: Students Residents, Fellows, and Faculty
The masters program offers courses in the field of education, including research methodologies. This is proposed to be a joint degree program with a School of Education.
