Emergency Procedures/Hospitalizations
Because UCSF medical students do clinical work in Moffitt/Long Emergency Room, in the event that you are having a psychiatric emergency, you may choose to be seen at an alternate emergency room to protect your privacy. Mills Peninsula Medical Center, Seton Medical Center, and Alta Bates/Herrick Medical Center are the preferred emergency room for psychiatric emergencies. However, student health insurance will cover emergency treatment at any emergency room. Please feel free to ask us any questions you have regarding privacy and confidentiality.

The Well-being Program does not provide Emergency Drop-In Services. Treatment is by appointment only.
