is Assistant Director for Learning Technologies in the School of Medicines
Office of Educational Technology. He received his bachelor of arts in
history from Vassar College. He began work at UCSF School of Medicine
in the Information Services Unit, working on web development, customer
service, computer and software support, as well as special technical
projects. In 2001 he joined Kevin Souza, to begin developing the digital
curriculum. Through their rapid success, they formed the Office of Educational
Technology in 2002 and have continued to champion the appropriate use
of technology in medical education. His current research interests include
the use of electronic portfolios to support teaching and learning, as
well as the creation of a sustainable infrastructure to support and
empower technology-enabled teaching and learning.
