Gurpreet Dhaliwal, MD (TSP 2003-2004) is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine. He is a clinician-educator at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he is the site director for the internal medicine student clerkships. He teaches the medical residents in urgent care/emergency room, the inpatient ward, the medical clinic, the medical consultation service, and morning report. He leads a number of small group sessions and lectures for students and residents on teaching skills, clinical problem solving, and economics. His areas of interest include cognitive psychology in diagnosis and the development of medical expertise.
