Teaching Scholars Program Flavia Nobay, MD (TSP 2002-2003) is Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Emergency Medicine at Moffitt - Long Hospital. She is currently Director of Education for the ED. She also is the CME coordinator and won the ED teaching award for the year 2001. Her educational directives have been to create and implement a monthly educational conference that meets the needs of the faculty of the ED. In addition, she is the director of the ED CME program and has been chair of Topics in EM for the past three years. Her interests in education at the state and national leadership are demonstrated by leadership and participation in the California Chapter of Emergency Physicians where she has sat on the Educational Committee for the past five years and the Scientific Assembly Task Force for the past three years. Her teaching interests extend beyond the ED to the pre-hospital and residency level, where she is actively involved with lectures, hands-on training and evaluation. Dr. Nobay received her Bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley in Molecular Biology and Classical Civilizations, she received her medical degree from UC San Diego and completed residency in EM at Highland Hospital. |
