Medicine
Thank you for your interest in the Department of Emergency Medicine's clinical electives. When space is available, U.S. students (we do not accept Canadian or international students) may apply to participate in our electives. There is no remuneration for these electives and neither room nor board is provided.
The maximum amount of elective time for visiting students is 3 months/12 weeks at UCSF.
Beginning in 2009-2010, UCSF will only be accepting applications submitted on-line through the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Visiting Student Application Service (VSAS), www.aamc.org/programs/vsas/students/start.htm **
**PLEASE NOTE: Emergency Medicine requires additional documents to be included with application. Please send a Letter of Recommendation to the Housestaff Coordinator (address below) and have your Home school include your Step 1 scores on the Eligibility Form in VSAS (line 16).
Accepting applications: April 19, 2010.
